Harmanpreet Kaur Overtakes Mithali Raj To Register Large Feat In Ladies’s T20Is

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur on Saturday overtook former skipper Mithali Raj to turn out to be India’s main T20I runscorer in ladies’s T20Is. Harmanpreet achieved this feat in the course of the second T20I match in opposition to Sri Lanka during which she remained unbeaten on 31. The present Indian captain has scored 2,372 runs in 123 matches at a mean of 27. She has scored one century and 6 half-centuries. She set the report 16 days after Mithali’s retirement.

Mithali Raj had scored 2,364 runs in 89 T20Is at a mean of 38 with 17 half-centuries.

Chasing 126, Smriti Mandhana and Shafali Verma gave a great begin with a 30-run partnership. From there on, India did not look again and clinched a five-wicket victory with 5 balls remaining.

For Sri Lanka, Inoka Ranaweera and Oshadi Ranasinghe bagged two wickets every respectively.
