“There may be huge work to be finished and we are going to proceed to assist … the Wiyi Yani U Thangani
venture,” Burney mentioned. “What this provides is 36 years of collective First Nations ladies voices – it’s a
seminal report that should be listened to for its knowledge, for its breadth, and what it brings
to the general public debate.”

Greater than 150 specialist specialists, researchers, ladies with lived expertise of violence and frontline employees from across the nation endorsed the assertion, together with Cheryl Axleby, Co-Chair, Change the Document; Catherine Liddle, CEO, SNAICC – Nationwide Voice for Our Youngsters; tutorial and advocate Professor Marcia Langton; lawyer and tutorial Hannah McGlade; and Antoinette Braybrook, the top of Djirra, Victoria’s Aboriginal Household Violence Prevention and Authorized Service.

The discussion board will ship an Outcomes Report back to the Australian authorities in October, partly to advocate for more practical violence prevention responses throughout the nation.
