To start making the Maakhmi Dal, wash and soak the moong dal for half-hour.
In a strain cooker, warmth ghee on medium flame, add the cinnamon, cloves and cardamom. To this add onions and fry till they flip into a pleasant deep golden brown color.
As soon as the onions get the great brown color, add the turmeric powder and pink chili powder. Combine nicely.
Add the tomato puree at this stage and prepare dinner nicely, till the onion-tomato combine comes collectively.
To this onion-tomato bhuna masala add coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chopped pudina leaves and add salt as required.
Add the soaked and drained dal, and water and shut the strain cooker.
Strain prepare dinner for two whistles and switch off the flame. Enable the strain to launch naturally.
When you open the strain cooker, mash the dal with the potato masher and blend nicely.
Serve this Maakhmi Dal, together with Phulka Recipe (Roti/Chapati) – Puffed Indian Bread and Tuk Patata – Aloo Took Recipe (Sindhi Styled Double Baked Crispy Potatoes)
