Orange Line trains delayed after vandalism


BOSTON – The MBTA stated there have been delays Wednesday afternoon on the Orange Line after a number of trains had been vandalized.

A number of trains had been vandalized Tuesday evening, the MBTA stated.

The trains had been taken out of service fore repairs. Because of this, the MBTA stated it could be working “with longer headways” within the afternoon because of the restricted variety of trains.

“We apologize for the inconvenience and are working to place trains into service as shortly as attainable,” the MBTA stated.

By about 4 p.m., a spokesman stated restore work and window replacements had changed at “a great tempo” and there can be 10 trains obtainable to fulfill the calls for for the night commute.
